Career Highlights & Education

I went to Wartburg College for undergrad and University of Northern Iowa for graduate school.

While at the University of Northern Iowa, my education focused on environmental education, park development, and outdoor recreation.

After completing my masters, I obtained a job at Clayton State University as the Assistant Director of Recreation & Wellness guiding a variety of outdoor trips throughout the Southeast. Later I became Director of Recreation and Wellness overseeing all program areas and recreation facilities.

In 2017 I was excited to become Director of Conservation & Outdoor Education with the Southern Conservation Trust and be back working with groups and individuals interested in the environment!

I live with my wife Emily, our kids Lydia and Colin,  our dogs Bessie & Charlie, SCT turtles  Roda & Squirt, Rabbits Bucky and Fluffy, and 5 unnamed chickens.
